Coming from an Italian family where everything revolved around food, Chef John Ventura was inspired from an early age and he began cooking recreationally. It wasn’t until a friend encouraged him to pursue his passion on a more professional level that he truly began to give culinary training some serious thought.
Ventura, a graduate of the School of Culinary Arts in Fort Lauderdale, has worked in restaurants from New Jersey to Florida to the southern Caribbean island of Curacao. The skill Ventura has acquired in his culinary career is apparent in every dish, but a key trait of his emerges at Stella’s: a subtle creativity that keeps his food approachable and delightfully edible.
Chef Ventura loves to challenge himself so one of the most intriguing additions to the Stella’s experience allows guests the opportunity to call and reserve a custom tasting designed to their exclusive specifications. It’s as simple as calling ahead with your suggestions which Chef Ventura will then design into multiple small entrees to create a unique tasting that’s homemade from scratch for you and your guests.
